This is my attempt at keeping track of the next year, having decided to up and leave the rural British countryside, no pets and certainly no children, to even more rural German countryside with four dogs and four wonderful children.

snow and running outside
so the gym membership isn't going great. the running outside however, is. i signed up to run the royal parks half marathon in october, so i'm going to have to start getting good and having a little bit of perseverance. i would like to make the observation that even when it snows in london, it's not quiet. most places get very hushed by snow, every stands still. not london! so far the job is going well, the being single is....single. and i am very happy :) i just sent off my application to volunteer at great ormond street hopsital, so we shall see what happens with that!

settling in : part II
I'm kind of tempted to go back to my very first blog post and do a comparison. But I don't think you can really compare German countryside, to central London. I have sorted out my room, to almost how I want it, I still need a few bits and bobs, and would like to be in charge of a hoover, but I think in the very worst case I can borrow the little handheld dyson from downstairs.
I got out of bed, and opened the windows, and then got back into bed again...I'm sure that counts as productive, I'll go to the gym later to make up for it. Yes, I joined the gym! In less than a week of being here fulltime. I'm quite proud that I actually got off my arse and did something without waiting months first. Now we'll just have to see whether or not I use it. I think I will.
